About the event

As part of our annual "Flag Day Author's Talk" series, we will feature a work published in 1995 called Paradoxes of Fame: The Francis Scott Key Story. The book was written by retired educator and military veteran Sam Meyer, whose resume for service in World War II with the US Navy included service in Cuba as a yeoman in the Intelligence Branch, and later as a Supply Corps officer in North Africa. Mr. Meyer passed in 2003, but his daughter Robin Meyer, will recount her father's inspiration and research/writing endeavor in publishing this book.   As a gift from our featured speaker, participants attending the lecture will be given copies of this book (while supplies last). Robin has graciously agreed to sign these posthumously on behalf of her father.

Light refreshments will also be served.

*(This is scheduled as an outdoor event, please bring a lawn chair. If it rains, we will go inside the chapel)
